oh what fun - thanks Chuck!. A local group met last evening and have set the date for July 14,15 and 16th, 2006 (of course, in Malta). We don't have all the details worked out, but have invited the class of 1977 to join us. They are meeting early in February to discuss same - our theory is the more the merrier.

We're in the "address mode", so please send any known addresses to Susan LaFond Matthews at the following email: beef4you@mtintouch.net

Our next meeting is 7PM Sunday, February 12th at Stretch's. We will be assembling the 20 year reunion booklet and mailing that out with the schedule of activities and reunion invite. Sorry that has taken us 10 years to complete!!

We're open for suggestions and volunteers.

input needed - we have the names of those 76'ers who were in MHS annuals, but who else should be invited/included? Someone from grade school? "blog" their names and suggestions on how to contact them or who might know...

Does anyone remember Victor Bonilla or Mark McKone?

progress - Wayne Wiese has been located in Long Island, NY, Jill Martin in Scottsdale, AZ and Walter Harms in Terry, MT.

any other news?? PC News states 76-77 reunion meeting on Monday night (2/6). That is for 1977 to discuss if they want to join 76. Our next meeting is Sunday 2/12, 7PM at Stretch's.

Thank for the tip on Wayne Wiest and Jill Martin (does she have a married last name?) and Walt Harms. If I even have a town and state I can go to the internet yellow page directory and go from there. Haven't hear anything about the 1977 class joining us. Did there meeting turn up a yes or no?? If anyone wants to include they're email address in the blog or send it directly to me (beef4u@tt-cmc.net. I'll update on reunion info as happens. Thanks Susan LaFond Matthews

PS Keep those addressing coming in.

Chuck - how safe is this? Is it okay to post emails and addresses here? I do remember Victor Bonilla and think maybe he attended St. Mary's for a while too. There are Bonilla's in Great Falls, but I never see a Victor. I ran across Jon Jacobson recently and have provided him this address. K. Murray - you should have some memories there - he'd love to hear them.

Anne, this is safe enough to leave an email address. Even safe enough to leave a physical mailing address but, it might make some individuals uneasy if that info were put on the internet. Not much different than a phonebook but, for some people they are not excited about it being on the "Internet"

per our recent meeting, I am drafting the general letter to be mailed out to all soon. The 20 year reunion booklet will also be included - it's fun and all will enjoy. Question - is a 30 year reunion book necessary? We would rather post all info received (including photos) on a website. Does anyony have experience with this? I can format all and save as PDF or other document, but do not know how to post to site (or want to know). Ideas welcome - email me at daboothe@mtintouch.net

Hello from Michigan! Tell me it hasn't been 30 years. I keep up with everyone via the PCN. I remember Victor Bonilla from 6th grade. I think we were both in Mrs. Lafond's (the elder)class. He had a crush on Carla Green, I had one on Royce Frazier, and Sandy had one on Tom Robinson. Cheryl Y

Didn't the Bonilla's move to CutBank or Conrad?

At 9:27 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Anne - how much is it going to cost to send these out?? How much should we contribute? I did a search on V. Bonilla and got this

Bonilla, Victor & Leslie
Great Falls, MT 59401
(406) 452-4881

Cheryl Y - Speaking of Royce F. does anyone know where he is? Where in Michigan are you? My nephew is a walkon 4 Mich State's BB team "Jake Hannon" Also, did I see that Carla Green died not too long ago in the PCN? I had a crush on her in 3rd grade.
Roger - Is that Roger Beyer?? If so, do you still have that Mustang?

Thanks to Lori Sjostrom Lundstroms frugality (SP?), we actually have funds in our treasury. Reunion will be "pay as you go" and the local guys say if we're out of $$ on Saturday night, we'll pass the hat - so we're good for now.

At 2:58 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

name of Connie Tyler has surfaced. Any insight??

At 7:23 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Chuck, I read about your nephew in the PCN and think I spotted him on tv. I live in a small town about 8 miles from Ann Arbor so you might guess State isn't very popular here with Michigan so close. What an accomplishment for him! I would love it if someone tracked down Connie Tyler. Gary Knudsen should know where she is shouldn't he, they're cousins. Cheryl

Does anyone remember Mike Butzlaf or Doug Novakavich from 4-5th grade. I do know Doug changed his name to Doug Novak and is in Glendive. Mike was in Whitefish 10 years ago but don't know where he is now.

I am working at i_Tech in Billings with Bernell (or Buzz) as he is know by here). I actually live in Lewistown but don't commute!

I paid for the 20th reunion and wasn't able to make it - do I get to come to the 30th for a reduced price? ;)

At 12:56 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

This is fun! I am catching up on all the crushes from grade school that I didn't know about. Ha I am sad to say the band we were looking into is booked for July 15.I hope we can find another equally as good for the same low price. Any ideas for activities people? This is Patti Oxarart Webb . E-mail: webbpatti@yahoo.com

At 8:21 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Adrienne - How did you get a sweet deal like that? Working from home? Next time you see Buzz call him by his full name "Bernardo Buzzelli"

Hey Pattie O. Activity ideas - how about a Trivial Persuit game with 1977 - 1976 trivial happenings? Like.. who taught Montana History? Why did Mikey Fred's glasses crack on the Football trip to Browning? What group sang "Desperado"? Who's parents owned the Maltana Motel? What year did the GN burn? etc. etc.

or... how about a coed flag football game or basketball game, class of '76 vs. '77. Go '76

At 8:59 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Chuck - I don't work from home. I live in Billings and my husband stayed in Lewistown! Been an interesting year for us.

Another person from grade school is Vickie Brown - she's in Denver.

I wouldn't do well with the Trivia - didn't know any of those!

At 2:31 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

we are planning a session of "jeopardy" for Friday night - something like what you are talking about Chuck.

Adrienne, maybe that's why we have some money still! We'll make it right with you - are there any others??? We know many paid $5 for the booklet...it's will be mailed out soon...

None of those names are familiar me (remember, some of us went to St. Mary's), but I did leave a message for Victor Bonilla at that Great Falls phone number. I'll probably be turned in for some phone scam or something. Who ever lives there has not returned my call....

At 5:17 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Chuck - yeah it is me, Roger. I sold the Mustang in the early 80's to a kid in Saco, who wrecked it!

At 7:45 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Chuck,
I was very saddened to read about the passing of your mom, in the PCN.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
Cheryl

Cheryl - Thanks for your thoughts. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Roger - Sorry to hear about the 'Stang. It was a nice vehicle.

At 2:27 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

okay folks - who's all in the opening bball picture??

At 9:49 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Mike - I do remember Bernell telling me some kid from the far side of the moon was wandering the mean streets of Malta. That was you? Sorry I tried passing that old table leg piece on you. Thank god those gullible kids from Wagner finally showed up.

Hello Everyone! so good to hear from or rather read from you all. crazy, isn't it--I live 70-ish miles away and hardly see my relatives let alone my class-mates--right patti!!i know, shame shame.Awesome job on the books-obviously I just got mine and am looking forward to the reunion-at this time and God willing.I got a little flak for not helping w/ the 20 year, however, I'm in the phone book but I must confess my time at the computer is limited, but if you want to reach me via Dennis' e-mail(he's only slightly better, but at least he does check it)it's dwyoung@nemontel.net. Let me know and I will help long-distance! Take Care-Sherry G Young

Reunion meeting Sunday, May 7th, 7PM Stretch's - locals, please plan to attend!

At 8:42 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hi Guys & Gals:
Good meeting tonight. Only 5 showed up but we have made some decision on location if all the places agree. Anne and Scott are checking on that. Sounds like we will have to charge a small fee for the Friday appetizers and the music for Saturday is we can still get it. New idea thought of so that will need to be checked out too. Before we know for sure. Is fun listening to all the memories. Hope you can make the reunion. Along with the normal stuff some other fun events are planned. I think even the spouses that are not from Malta will enjoy.
Susan LaFond Matthews

Didn't get my info in by the deadline and now I am out in Washington State - my dad just died last week. I won't be back until June 11th. Will try to get it in ASAP!

Adrienne, sorry to hear about your dad. Look forward to yours and everyone's info. Lori will be mailing out a new form and update to all soon.

We finally found Vince Dancer - new address, same state of Virginia. Sorry for the delay in getting you notified Vince!

Take care all.

Wow, It's nice to know all you guys are still alive. It seems you guys are a lot older than me now, but maybe not. Im looking forward to the reunion and seeing you guys. I've learned one thing, if you dont make the meetings you volunteer for alot of things. I'll try to make it to do my duty for the good of the class. It will be a long drive as we now live on the far east end of Malta. Anne or Susan please let me know when the next meeting is and I will attend. I do not want to clean the toilets Sunday. Thanks Chuck for setting this up. I too was very sad at the passing of your mother, she gave countless hours to this comunity and will be truly missed. I,m sure you were very proud of her. Keep on blogging people. Blogging sounds dirty doesn't it? Kelly M

At 8:15 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Kelly, thanks for the kind words about my mom. In fact, thanks to everyone who stopped by, sent cards, flowers, emails,$$$, etc. etc. Anne, Dave, Pat, Patti, Bernell, Curt, Mark, Clesson, Cheryl, Mike, etc. etc. etc. etc. She truly loved Malta.

Adrienne, sorry to hear about your dad.

7/8/06 Did Carla Green really die?? Tell me that's not true. I loved her :) I don't get the PCN, and rarely get to Malta, so the one thing I dread about reunion time is hearing who died... But other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing all of you! P.S. this is my 1st time ever on a blog (I thought it might be a dirty word, like Kelly)

Hi all!! This is Stacey Mangels, am looking forward to seeing you all. I vote for another booklet, even though a website would be nice also. Can you believe it has been 30 years??? I am emailing a picture, but guess I will turn in my paper when I get there.
thanks, Stacey

Hi from Lindy too - her Miller Lite is cold and good.

I had a great time!! It was so good to see everyone. I am sad for the people who could not attend. The Jeopardy game was a blast Anne. (even though our team lost miserably and Dawn didn't even know the answer to the question about the underwear she "lost".!) Thanks Dave and Kelly for the Amazing Race. It was so fun. I need to take up golfing as does everyone else on my team. We are so thankful for good old Tom Moran and Fred Perry for being such good sports. Thanks to them we won a million wonderful memories!! Lori Lundstrom and Susan Matthews need to be commended for all the mailing and address collecting and Karen Lundstrom and Susan M. got the books done before the reunion this time! !(you really made the twenty year reunion book committee look bad!) Thank you Thank you Thank you It was a great time. I hope those who attended had as much fun as I did. I hope to be in touch with those of you who couldn't attend. It will be nice to have the addresses. God Bless you all and have a great day. Patti Webb July 29, 2006

Hey all...had a great time, thank you for all your hard work in putting the reunion together. You know, I showed up late...Saturday to be exact, and paid for my dinner only, do I owe??? (laughing out loud) Guess I had way too much fun. Ended up leaving town Monday morning instead of Sunday as Lindy and Pat got me started at the Stockmans early morning....or did I get them started??? Would love to keep in touch with whomever would care to write to my e-mail address of Mbeaulieu@saintpatrick.org

Take care and God Bless,
Jan

Who are all those old people in that picture? Chuck, I was saddened to hear of the passing of your mom, I first remember her working in your shoe repair shop which I think was accross from the old Trafton Door Store, and then later so generously giving herself to the people of Malta. Adrienne, I was also saddened to hear of your father. I remember him working on the cattle and reluctantly on the occasional beleaguered pet,(and if I remember correctly) and coming to our 6th grade class of Miss Robinson's and showing slides on your trip to Alaska. Was sorry to have missed the reunion and visiting with everyone, but not the heat. It has been cool and rainy here this summer with highs in the high 60s, today is nice and sunny in the low 70s. Carla sat behind me in 5th grade and us guys are pushovers for long-haired beauties. Thanks for setting up this 'communications portal' (blogging just sounds too dirty). Hi to all. Morgan 20AUG
P.S. Is that deadline for the bio the 5th of May, 2016? Yolanda & I really did enjoy the book, thankyou for all your hard work.
